A close-knit family in south Laredo claims they're the victims of police brutality.
They say without explanation, officers unfairly attacked them early Sunday morning.
Police have a very different take on what happened that night.
Three people are facing charges of assault...and amid the fingerprinting, an investigation is underway to uncover the truth.

Which I didn't do nothing... I was just celebrating my daughter's birthday...I don't know...I don't understand.”
With decorations still surrounding his family home, Hector Medina is trying to figure out where his daughter's birthday party went wrong.
Hector Medina - Alleged Victim
“I’m 43 years old and I don't have any kind of record until last night...what happened with that officer...I don't know what happened with him...working too much over time...i don't know what the problem was.”
Police say the problem was neighbors were complaining about the music and noise...but when they arrived one of the guests was uncooperative.

The call quickly escalated due to the fact there's a bit of danger any time there's crowd...there's a kind of mob like atmosphere.”
45-year-old Matis Robles attempted to leave the party but was stopped in his tracks.
“They tackled me down...they tazed me and they were just hitting me.”
Robles was carrying a knife and a small bag of marijuana and was put into the back of a police unit.
Officers say the bruises on his face were self-inflicted from banging his head against the car window, but he wasn't the only one injured.
I was right there...they threw me on the floor and they go me with a Tazer gun...like three times cause I didn't want to get arrested...cause i didn't do anything wrong.
17 officers were dispatched to the home as tempers continued to flare.
A sixteen-year-old family member rushed to defend medina and was also taken into custody.
Police say they did what they could to control the crowd.
Melissa Bocock - Maced Niece
“I did tell them i was pregnant...they just started macing everybody...and that's when I got maced.”
The family feels it was the aggressive nature of one officer that spiraled out of control and has filed a complaint with internal affairs.
“I think he overused his power of authority because he was being very aggressive and i really don't think a person with that kind of attitude should carry a weapon.”

We'll take a thorough look, an objective look as this party's call and we'll make sure no stone is left unturned and if anyone is wrong in this scenario we'll take the appropriate action at that point.”
The two adult men face multiple charges including resisting and evading arrest and a felony charge of assault against an officer.
The sixteen-year-old boy was released from the juvenile detention center earlier today and is also facing charges.
Police tell us the investigation is underway, but they have not removed any of the officers from the field who were involved in the incident.
