From the time she was a young girl, Ann had aspirations of being a journalist. She began paying attention to news and current events early on in life.
Ann joined the Pro 8 News Team in January of 2006 as a reporter and weekend anchor. She then became the anchor of Pro 8 News Today where she spent her mornings for just over a year. Ann then moved up to anchor Pro 8 News at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm. She also serves as the Executive Producer, and plays a role in producing and writing for the newscasts. Prior to being with Pro 8 News, Ann was a reporter and anchor with KVTV-CBS 13 in Laredo for two years. Ann Hutyra is from West, Texas, a small Czech town off of I-35 near Waco. She is a 2002 graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English. Ann was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Arts Honors Society, and the Association for Women in Communications. While in college she interned at KSAT-12 in San Antonio and TV Azteca in Queretaro, Mexico. Ann was also a reporter and anchor for her college television newscast on KOLL TV, and a staff writer for The Lakefront newspaper. In her free time Ann is a competitive runner, loves Dallas Stars hockey, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and two dogs. Most Popular |
