TAMIU Soccer Players Receive Conference Recognition

Congratulations goes out to a couple of Dustdevils... sophomore Theo Brown was tabbed as the Heartland Conference's offensive player of the week and senior Luis Rincon... defensive player of the week. Brown scored two late goals to stretch a 2-1 lead to a 4-1 win over Newman on Friday... then was credited with an assist on the second goal in sunday’s 2-0 win over UT-Permian Basin. Rincon made four saves in a 4-1 win over Newman... then posted six saves in a 2-0 win over UT-Permian Basin, marking TAMIU’S first shutout since a 1-0 win over Eastern New Mexico on oct. 31, 2008.
