Saturday featured a couple of showdowns in district 31-4a. The Cigarroa Toros played host to the Kingsville Brahmas. Despite a strong start... senior quarterback Alex Medina injured his shoulder late in the third quarter... and the toros dropped their first district game 35-6. The Nixon Mustangs were also in action hosting the Flour Bluff Hornets. This one was over early. Hornets uarterback Jackson Bonnet accounted for 345 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 77-14 drubbing of the Mustangs.

More of the great Laredo athletes.I believe they are 2-19 and outscored 706-252 when they are not playing another Laredo school.Put BIMBO on their shirts and kick a round ball.Give up on AMERICAN football and play Laredo FUTBOL.Play against somebody their own size.Most schools best athletes play football,basketball,baseball,etc.Those that are not picked for any teams or are not good enough at anything play soccer.That is who Laredo should be competing against.
