Former United Longhorn returning as college coach

This Friday... Laredo will welcome home one of its great former basketball players. John Shoffner... a United Longhorn from 1993-1996... returns as the head coach of Webber University in Florida. The Webber Warriors will take on the TAMIU Dustdevils Friday night. Shoffner led the Longhorns to 3 consecutive playoff appearances... 1 district championship... 2 bi-district championships... and 2 area appearances. He went on to play college ball at Webber and has been the head coach there for the past 6 years.
