It has nothing to do with not being able to compete. Our Laredo athletes would practice hard all week and play their hearts out during game time, regardless. The traveling out of town on a weekly basis was the difficult part. These students would arrive back from a game after 12:00 a.m. and then have to attend class the next morning.
