Two-time CHL MVP Jeff Bes is nearing a historic milestone as he enters Friday’ game just one point away from 1,000 in his 19-year professional career. Bes has nine points (1-8=9) in six games this season.

The 37-year-old Bes has 999 career points (336-663=999) with 594 coming in the CHL (200-394=594). In Laredo’s 4-2 win over Odessa Tuesday Bes became the 21st player in history to score 200 CHL goals.

Laredo enters Friday’s game tied for fourth place in the Berry Conference with a 3-2-1 (seven points) record. The Bucks will play the second of a season-high five-game home stand against the Rush Friday night.
