Bucks Within Two Points Of Rio After Win

The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League beat the Missouri Mavericks 4-2 Friday night at Laredo Energy Arena. Laredo’s win, coupled with Rio Grande Valley’s loss to Arizona, puts the Bucks two points behind the Killer Bees for the final playoff spot in the Berry Conference. The Bucks improve to 21-30-8 (50 points).

Brian Matte scored two goals and Torrie Jung stopped 31 of 33 shots he faced to help give the Bucks their first win ever against the Mavericks (1-1-1).
