By KGNS News

Texas A&M International University extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 1-0 overtime Heartland Conference win over UT-Permian Basin on Sunday night in Odessa.

The win also pushes TAMIU to the top of the Heartland Conference standings with a 5-1 league record, a half game better than 4-1 St. Edward's. The Dustdevils and Hilltoppers will play next Sunday night in Laredo in a game that will likely decide the conference champion.

An overtime penalty kick goal by Kaylen Gerkey lifted UT-Permian Basin to a 3-2 Heartland Conference win over Texas A&M International University on Monday afternoon in Odessa.
