TAMIU Women Routed By UTPA

UT-Pan American defeated Texas A&M International University 94-60 on Tuesday night at the UTPA Fieldhouse in Edinburg. The contest was TAMIU's second straight road game against a NCAA Division I opponent.

Johnna Williams and Nikkiti led the Dustdevils with 12 points apiece. Williams added a team-high eight rebounds.

CeMonay Newell connected on nine 3-pointers and led the Lady Broncs with 29 points. Bianca Torre added 20 points for the home team.

TAMIU (2-9) will play its first home games of the season this weekend at the Dustdevil Holiday Classic. The Dustdevils will host College of the Southwest on Friday night and Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon.
