United's Ortiz Signs With Grayson

Former United Longhorn and first team all state pitcher Homero Ortiz is taking the next step in his baseball career. According to LMT onine, Ortiz will sign his letter of intent later this week to play for Grayson Community College in Dallas. Grayson is where major leaguers John Lackey of the Red Sox and Andy Laroche of the Oakland Athletics started their college careers. In his senior season Ortiz batted .466 with 42 RBI and 7 homers. He was also the Longhorns Ace pitcher with an ERA of 1.31
