United's Salas Signs With MNU

By KGNS News

In 2010 the United football team was able to reclaim the district title from rival Alexander. A big reason for their success was the play of senior quarterback Tony Salas who Tuesday afternoon announced that he'll be taking the next step in his football career. Tuesday Salas signed his letter of intent to play for the Midamerica Nazarene Pioneers out of Olathe Kansas. Salas put up impressive numbers while at United finishing as the career leader in passing yards, winning two district championships and an area championship. Salas spoke to pro 8 sports, he says this is something he's been working towards for a very long time. Salas finished his career at United with 7,770 passing yards and 71 touchdowns.
