Local high schoolers honored as Community Role Models

A group of local high school seniors are recognized for being outstanding role models.
The seven students were honored as part of March’s 'Community Role Model' awards.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Martin Cuellar, the Fernando Salinas Charitable Trust, and Your Good Neighbor Station sponsor the program.
The honorees receive a plaque, and a scholarship for books at Laredo Community College, one student also receives a $500 scholarship courtesy of the Fernando Salinas Charitable Trust.
