Seven students who are role models everyday for other students at their schools received a big pat on the back from Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
It's all part of the Community Role Model Awards sponsored by the Webb County Sheriff's Office, the Fernando A. Salinas Charitable Trust, and KGNS.
The award exemplifies responsibility, trustworthiness, leading a drug-free lifestyle, as well as serving the community as a role model for others.
This month the ceremony was held at Alexander High School.
