January's Community Role Models were recognized. Guest speaker Richard “Heatwave” Berler was on hand as the Sheriff's Department handed out awards to exemplary students from schools in both districts.
The students are nominated and then selected based on their grades, extra curricular activities and for being good role models for their peers.
The Community Role Model awards are sponsored by the Webb County Sheriff's Department, the Fernando Salinas Trust, and your good neighbor station.
