Mexican federal police have captured one of the founding members of the infamous Zeta gang.
Jaime "The Hummer" Gonzales was captured in the city of Reynosa across the border from McAllen.
Officials say he cooperated with authorities during the arrest.
But a group of armed men did attack police near the Reynosa airport as they tried to transport Gonzales to Mexico City.
After a long gun battle, police managed to get Gonzalez on a plane and on his way to the Mexican capital.
Gonzales is wanted in the U.S. on drug charges.
