Nine people are arrested in a prostitution sting over the weekend.
Police conducted a series of stings on Friday and Saturday on Laredo’s west side, focusing primarily on the San Bernardo downtown area.
Arrested were 41-year old Eloise Hodges, 40-year-old Marta Moreno, 36-year-old Patricia Gonzalez.
Also arrested were 34-year-old Julia Paz, 39-year-old Mary Haynes, 26-year-old Vanessa Estevis...
49-year-old Maria Hernandez, and two men, 48-year-old Mario Ramos and 23-year-old Edwin Alvarez.
The sting was a part of the department's effort to clean up the downtown area.
