It's a parent's worst nightmare when a child has easy access to leave school. This is not the first incident where a child walks out of a Laredo school without anyone noticing. Noraida Negron has the story you only see here on 8! This concerned mother wants answers, as her five-year-old son is able to walk out of school. "Que tal si lo matan, si lo atropeyan se lo llevan...nose que hubiera pasado." What happens if they run over him or killed him? Says the mom something could've happened to him. The boy attends Kawas Elementary in south Laredo. According to the mother the boy was able to walk four blocks home. A woman spots the kid and walks him the rest of the way. " Ya me traume. El nino no quiere ir a la escuela. Esta llora y llora.">> I am traumatized she says and the kid now does not want to go to school. We decided to go by the school and we found the gates open... But when security saw us they closed the gates with locks. "Todos los portones los tienen abiertos. Nose como tienen seguridad y no salieron a agarrarlo." According to the mother she is worried that her son is not safe at school. Now that incident could've been avoided. According to a neighbor she saw the boy walking out and alerted school officials.
