Dozens woke up early for a book sale over at the Laredo Public Library. The Friends of the Library Spring book sale kicked off this morning with hundreds of books out on display and up for sale at bargain prices. All proceeds go directly back to the Library for special programs and to enhance their book collection. Everything from children's books to encyclopedias are up for sale. Organizers want to remind the public that, despite schools being closed, the book sale will go on. Ann Seddelmeyer with the Laredo Public Library said, "Come out--we're here and we're open." The book sale continues tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Laredo Public Library.
