Laredo police had their hands full this morning with a little piggy who didn't stay home. It’s a story you'll only see on 8! This little piggy didn't quite make it to the market. He was caught by police while foraging for food in this north Laredo neighborhood on Arizona Circle. Officer James Boyd says chasing the *porker* was a little different. Officer James Boyd, Laredo Police Department: "We usually get calls of Javelinas or deer that stray into the city but when we rolled up, saw this was a domesticated pig." Officers tried rounding up the swine suspect without much luck. "Between the couple of officers that were here, we scrambled through our units and the only thing we came up with was a banana and she took a couple of nibbles at it and decided it wasn't for her, so that leads me to believe that pigs aren't descended from monkeys." But she was really a he. Hamming it up and making himself at home, upsetting residents, with tail wagging the whole time. "The neighbors are getting a little riled up seeing the pig wandering around in their yards and so forth. I've seen a couple of them scrambling for cover." Not knowing if this little pig's house was built with straw, sticks or bricks, police could not return him home. Turning the case over to animal control.
