The Texas Rangers and Zavala County Sheriff's Department are now trying to figure what happened overnight that left three people dead including a mother and her son, and three others shot. It happened yesterday evening in Crystal City. Our cameras were there as the investigation continued today. Our Annette Garcia brings us the details in this Pro 8 News Exclusive.
"Annette: 'Investigators have been out here the entire morning trying to piece together what happened and family members have been trying to do the same. Authorities say three people were killed and three others injured in last night's shooting. Though the investigation is still ongoing, we are told the incident appears to be related to a fued between two families. Now, a 42-year-old mother and her teenage son and a man of another family are dead. Two survivors were airlifted to a San Antonio hospital. They will be taken to jail along with four others arrested at the scene. Janet Rodriguez, a neighbor on the scene says, 'it was kinda scarry last night the whole row was packed with people cars family members crying because they didnt know who got shot and who died.' Annette: 'we are told there hasnt been a murder in the crystal city area in at least two years so resident are still stunned after hearing the news. we'll have their reaction coming up tonight at ten. in crystal city annette garcia pro 8 news.'
