Breaking News: Missing boy found eating inside grocery store

By Ray Gomez

Police are called to a local grocery store after a child is found frantically eating sweet bread from the store shelves.
Emergency crews say the child appeared very malnourished.
The boy's mother has now been charged with endangernment of a child after police say he was seen walking along Laredo streets.
Police say it was a passer by that noticed the 8-year-old boy walking down the street and into this Super S store on Clark Blvd.
Witnesses say the boy looked extremely thin and very weak. They also said that he walked into this store around 1:30 this afternoon and began frantically eating sweet bread off the store shelves. Police and EMS crews were called out to the store and also agreed that the child looked malnourished and began looking for his guardian. About 45 minutes later the boy's mother 30-year-old Jessica Lozano reported the child missing but soon realized he had been found at the grocery store. Police have arrested her on charges of endangerment of a child. Detectives however are still interviewing her. The mother claims the child has a sickness and that's why he appears so thin. However at this time I'm told child protective services is now involved. That's the latest from central Laredo-- Annette Garcia Pro 8 News.
