Pro 8 Update: Life sentence for man guilty of sexually molesting 3-year-old

The jury has reached a decision.
Now a local man who was convicted of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl will be serving life in prison.
45-year-old Pedro Escamilla was sentenced to life in prison this afternoon and was also sentenced to pay a fine of 10 thousand dollars.
This after a jury found him guilty of aggravated sexual assault on a minor.
The incident happened back in July of 2008.
That’s when Escamilla reportedly sexually assaulted a three-year-old girl.
The victim in this case is related to Escamilla.
Jurors heard testimony from witnesses and other evidence in deciding on the length of the sentence.
It took them two hours to come up with a guilty verdict this afternoon.
Judge Oscar Hale presided over the case.
