Pro 8 Update: Police locate car involved in hit and run with motorcycle officer

We have new information on the search that continues for the suspect who hit a Laredo police motorcycle officer with a car and fled from the scene.
A “Blue Alert” is in effect from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The traffic officer was hit near the intersection of Loop 20 and Saunders around five pm last night.
This morning police tell us the driver is still missing but they have located the red Nissan Maxima, which hit the officer.
The officer was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a possible arm fracture.
If you have any information on where the driver of that car is call police at 795-2800.
