Increased violence prompts State Department to issue travel warning into Mexico

By KGNS News

The U.S. State Department issued an updated advisory for those traveling into Mexico.
The State Department says large firefights have taken place in towns and cities across Mexico, but occurred mostly in northern Mexico.
They say criminals have harassed U.S. citizens traveling in their vehicles in border areas, notably through Nuevo Laredo and Matamoras.
They also say travelers have been caught in incidents of gunfire between criminals and Mexican law enforcement.
