The Washington’s Birthday celebration may be over but preparations for next year’s event are already underway.
WBCA announced the 2011 Martha and George Washington today.
Betty Bunn Moreno and Francis Averill Junior were selected for the part.
Moreno is a native Laredoan and her legacy extends back to her grandmother who was a charter member of the society.
Averill was raised in Brownsville but now calls Laredo home.
Both will take their bows during the society's annual colonial pageant ball scheduled for February 2011.
