" As the agents performed the vehicle stop, the vehicle pulled over immediately. However the driver did not comply with the request or instruction of the agents performing vehicle stop. He would not exit the vehicle."
That's when Border Patrol agents asked for the assistance of a helicopter.
They say Perez was spotted inside the vehicle with bloodstains on his shirt.
According to the Border Patrol, agents approached the vehicle and realized he had shot and killed himself.
It is not clear whether or not the agents heard the shot.
Border patrol says no officers shot at the man.
