Pro 8 News Exclusive: Family Feud In Crystal City Leaves 3 Dead

The Texas Rangers and Zavala County Sheriffs Department are now trying to figure what happened overnight that left three people dead including a mother and her son.... and three others shot.
It happened yesterday evening in crystal city.
Our cameras were there as the investigation continued today.
Our Annette Garcia brings us the details in this pro 8 news exclusive.
“They were trembling they were shaking they were scared you never know where that bullet is gonna go.”
Residents in the small town of crystal city ... still stunned over a shootout between two families Saturday night.
Officials refused to comment on camera Sunday.
However ... Saturday night ... Zavala County Sheriff Eusevio Salinas told reporters a total of six people had been shot… Three of them dead.
Witnesses say the victims include a 42-year-old mother ... and her teenage son … and a man from another family.
“I never thought it would come down to this.”
Janet Rodriguez says she grew up in the neighborhood.... And is friends with the two families involved.
Those two families ... she says. Never seemed to get along.

“This family feud started and started and i had told my mother something is bound to happen.”

“Family members spent the day speaking with authorities trying to figure out just what happened and spent time cleaning up the blood left behind.”
After gathering evidence for hours ... sheriffs deputies cleared the scene early Sunday morning ... making way for dozens driving by to witness it all for themselves.

She says I was very scared ... and didn’t know what was happening ... I think the entire town is still in shock.
“Oh yeah I’ve never seen something like this before.”
The crystal city area hasn't had a murder in over two years.
Neighbors say it’s hard to believe what happened.
“Its very sad knowing that you grew up with these people you never expected it to come down to this.”

The Texas Rangers have now taken over the case.
The Zavala County Sheriff's Department and Crystal City police are also assisting.
Authorities have said two of those who survived will be arrested when they are released from the hospital.
