Laredo Pair Steal Boss' Identity, then Open up Business

By Cynthia Cano

Two people are in custody after police say they stole their employer's social security card and business license...then used it to obtain credit and open up a business of their own. 38 year old Gerardo Pena was arrested on charges of fraudulent use and possession of identifying information. He, along with 35 year old Tania Pena were arrested earlier this morning. Officers say the incident first happened back in February. That's when the pair allegedly stole identifying information from their employer. Justice of the Peace Hector Liendo issued a warrant for their arrest. They were wanted on ten counts of credit card abuse. Both were booked and taken to the Webb County Jail.
