Big bike rally tops two-day Fourth festivities

By Ray Gomez

You have probably been noticing lots of bikes all over town.
That is because Laredo is hosting the biggest bike rally the city has ever seen.
Our Noraida Negron is at the Civic Center with more.
We are here at the Civic Center grounds where over four hundred bikers have registered for the Twin City bike rally.
Since eleven this morning bikers have been registering for the two day event.
According to officials there are bikers from all over the state like Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, the valley and even Eagle Pass.
There is a big group coming in from Monterrey and other parts of Mexico, making this bike rally an international event.
The Twin City bike rally is part of the City of Laredo Fourth of July festivities.
It’s a two-day event with live music, food, stunt shows, a bike show, a parade and so much more.
And most important it’s free.
Sam Sanchez, Legends Riders
"There will be a parade starting Saturday at 9am. They are organizing the parade at St. Peters Plaza and then heading back to the Civic Center."
Now after the parade there will be music and food vendors here at the Civic Center grounds.
There will be a watermelon and an apple pie eating contests and lots of fun for the entire family.
We are live from the Civic Center. Noraida Negron Pro 8 News.
