Woman accused of intoxication manslaughter

Attorneys for a Laredo woman charged with intoxicated manslaughter are preparing for her case, which is set to begin soon.
48-year-old Cynthia Fernandez Everett is facing charges after reportedly being involved in an accident that happened on north highway 83 back in September of 2008.
She’s accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and veering into oncoming traffic.
That’s when authorities say Everett collided with 43-year-old Jose Alberta de Leon, who was riding a motorcycle at the time.
Emergency crews pronounced Leon dead at the scene.
Her pre-trial is set to begin July 7th.
Jury selection begins July 13th.
