Cold Case arraignment set

By Ray Gomez

We have an update on the Texas man who is accused of killing a California man nearly 33 years ago.
A date has now been set for his arraignment after being caught in Laredo.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered 64-year-old Carmen Garcia to stand trial after a preliminary hearing on Tuesday in Pomona, California.
Prosecutors allege that Garcia shot 34-year-old Roberto Lozano after they drove away from a California bar together in September of 1976.
A convicted felon testified under immunity that he followed the men in a getaway car, and then saw Garcia toss the gun away after the shooting.
He then drove Garcia to the Mexican border.
Investigators arrested Garcia in May when he tried to buy a handgun from a Laredo pawnshop.
Garcia's arraignment is scheduled for July 21 and his bail is set at one million dollars.
