Hundreds of thousands in cash seized at the bridge, accused smuggler arrested

Over $300,000 in cash is seized at the Laredo port of entry.

It happened on Tuesday at the Lincoln-Juarez Bridge. That's where C.B.P officers, conducting an outbound inspection, were alerted to irregularities in the spare tire of a Ford Expedition.

A non-invasive scan of the tire revealed a total of over $349,000 in undeclared currency.

The driver of the truck, Ana Daisy Mondragon from Houston, was processed for federal bulk cash smuggling by ICE Special Agents.
