Alexander High senior serves as B.P. chief for the day

An Alexander High School senior held one of the highest positions in the U.S. Border Patrol.
He says it was an awesome experience even if it was "just for one day."
Elijah Fuentes shadowed Deputy Chief Rosendo Hinojosa today as part of the Laredo Noon Optimist Club's annual Youth Appreciation Day.
Fuentes pulled a full shift as one of the heads of the Laredo Sector Border Patrol.
The Alexander senior says he was surprised how much was involved in carrying out the job.
Part of his exciting day included visiting the sector's canine kennel and even patrolling the Rio Grande in a U.S. Border Patrol airboat.
