Local whiz kids win robotics championship

By Ray Gomez

Middle school students from Harmony Science Academy are celebrating their big accomplishment.

The robotics team competed last week in Cypress, Texas, winning first place at the competition.

It took them three months to build the robot to compete with 45 teams.

The students divided themselves in groups to design and put together the masterpiece.

The robotics team got first place overall and first place on the mission.

Now they are preparing for another competition:

"We are going to make it better and fix the mission to make it perfect and eventually go over there."

The students will go to Houston for Regionals on December 5th.
