Henry Flores sentenced to 8 years in prison for soliciting a minor

After nine months in the spotlight, former Webb County Clerk Henry Flores is now in the Webb County Jail.

After pleading guilty to solicitation of a minor with intent to commit aggravated sexual assault, Flores was sentenced to eight years in state prison.

Flores himself admitted to picking up an 11-year old boy back in February of this year, taking him to his north Laredo apartment and allowing the boy to look at pornography.

He also said he kissed the boy on the back of the neck.

The attorney for Flores, George Altgelt, says his client is going to have a hard time surviving in jail.

Altgelt says this sentence is only the beginning in this case.

He plans to appeal the ruling made by Judge Joe Lopez today.
