A grass fire on Mines Road keeps fire crews busy for several hours this afternoon.
The fire department had five fire engines on scene and several crews.
The grass fire spread to consume about 6 to 8 acres of land.
Windy conditions were making it tough for firefighters to contain the blaze.
After a few hours, crews were eventually able to contain the fire and put it out.
No buildings in the area were damaged.
