Community Green: Keep Laredo Beautiful & your Good Neighbor Station honored

Your Good Neighbor Station, along with Keep Laredo Beautiful, was in the state capital for a very special award.

Your Family of Stations was honored by Keep Texas Beautiful at the 43rd Annual Keep Texas Beautiful Conference.

We were presented with the first place statewide media award for excellence in generating awareness about the importance of preservation, conservation and beautification in Laredo.

It's in response to our ongoing campaign, Community Green, which is a partnership with Keep Laredo Beautiful, and efforts in the community including Green Santa, Earth Fair and more.

KGNS, Your CW, and Telemundo Laredo beat out other entries from across te state. Also honored was KLB Board President Fred Santos, one of the driving forces behind Keep Laredo Beautiful. He received a Second Place, 'Volunteer of the Year' award for his efforts in making Laredo a better place to live.
