A man attempted to rush himself to the hospital and ended up crashing head-on into a light post.
It happened on August 18, 2012 in the afternoon at the intersection of Hillside and Dogwood.
Thats where police officers found his SUV, half way into somebodies back yard.
They told us they believe he was experiencing a heart attack or a serious medical condition and was on his way to Laredo Medical Center with his daughter all before the impact.
Paramedics arrived on scene and transported the man by ambulance.
It's unclear at this point whether or not the man was stabilized.
