The federal case against two men involved in an alleged murder-for-hire plot were back in court Tuesday.
Jurors listened to recorded audiotapes between an undercover agent and the defendants, 28-year-old Calvin Epps and 28-year-old former U.S. Army Sergeant Samuel walker.
In those tapes, they discuss shipping 500 pounds of marijuana to South Carolina with Epps saying the money from that sale will go towards purchasing weapons, which he would then resell to the Zetas drug cartel.
The murder-for-hire plan comes about after authorities foil the original plan.
The trial will continue throughout the week.
