Behind The Scenes Look At Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus

By KGNS News

The circus is in town which has families flocking to the L.E.A.
"I'm excited...yeah."
Nine year old Ricky and his brother Rodrigo are looking forward to seeing their favorite act, the globe of steel.
"I want to see the motorcycles. I like when they spin around it's really cool."
For the first time ever, families were able to get an up close look by being on the floor.
"Barnum bash is the biggest party on earth. Basically we want everyone to come down and interact with us."
From being just a few feet away from the elephant to getting to participate in tricks with the ringmaster, Urias, one of the performers in the globe of steel says the families are getting an experience like never before by meeting the performers and being able to ask them questions.
"What we're doing now is the first time ever is we're opening up our backstage so you can go back there see our animals and see everybody getting ready."
My cameraman and I were able to get a behind the scenes look at the wheel of steel. After watching the professionals make it look effortless, we decided to give it a try and see if we have what it takes to be a circus performer. Parents and families we spoke with were thrilled that Barnum and Bailey is offering this new interactive pre show.
"We had never been on the floor. This is our first time being on the floor. Last year they didn't do it so we're really excited now we get to be on the floor."
"I just want to say that who ever isn't here is missing out and should be going to this."
