New tonight at ten Border Patrol Agents seize almost half a ton of marijuana while allegedly being stashed in construction materials It happened over the weekend when agents on patrol came across a dodge truck hauling bags of industrial lime After pulling the vehicle over a canine unit alerted agents to the presence of drugs the driver and truck were taken to the Laredo West Station for closer inspection. It was there that agents discovered a false compartment and 45 bundles of marijuana weighing in at a thousand and 44 pounds. The drugs have an estimated value of about 835 thousand dollars. The marijuana suspect and truck were all turned over to the drug enforcement administration.
