We hear of donations to Locks of Love from time to time, but this donation is a little different.
Ten year old Andrew Zachary Roberts grew his hair out from 2nd grade through 5th grade in order to donate it to the charity. He says he endured some teasing, but is happy to be able to make the donation.
"Not a lot of boys donate their hair. I wanted to help out. They wanted me to cut it very early, because they started to call me a girl."
Andrew is the first boy to donate his hair in Laredo. Locks of Love is an organization that donates real hair wigs to disadvantaged children who have lost their hair as a result of cancer.
