A teenager is dead and his sister in serious condition after their motorcycle crashes into the side of a commercial truck in Nuevo Laredo. It happened this weekend as 17-year-old Luis Fernando Paz was riding his motorcycle down Rio Tuxpan Street with his fifteen-year-old sister as the passenger. That's when a commercial truck hauling cinder blocks turned onto their street at an intersection, but the driver made too wide of a turn. Unfortunately, Paz was traveling too fast and was unable to avoid hitting the truck. The two siblings were taken to the hospital where the brother died from his injuries. The sister is currently in critical condition. The driver of the truck, 41-year-old Juan Gomez Rodriguez, was cited as being at fault for the accident and has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
