A law office building in downtown Laredo is the target of a thief.
An alarm was set off around eight Tuesday evening in the 1100 block of Matamoros.
Police on bike patrol arrived within minutes and caught 29-year-old Jose Antonio Mendoza, red-handed, rummaging through the offices of George Altgelt.
The suspect was held at gunpoint.
Mendoza was allegedly attempting to steal a bicycle and had already taken it out of the office and put in on the front porch before going back in for more items.
He's now facing once count of burglary of a building and one count of theft.
