Despite the rain, volunteer cleanup crews are helping keep the Chacon Creek hike and bike trail looking pretty.
Councilman Alex Perez and volunteers from Keep Laredo Beautiful were out in the muggy morning weather pulling out tires from the river and planting wild flowers.
The councilman says there was no way the weather was going to stop them.
The councilman has plans to construct an educational area under the bridge where you can learn about the Mexican free tail bat.
