Shots were fired in central Laredo and a massive search for a wanted man.
Laredo police at this point releasing only preliminary reports of what started out as a traffic stop on Chacon and Urban street.
Thats where they tell us an officer requested identification from a driver that he asked to step out of his vehicle.
Upon his refusal police tell us the suspect whose name has not been released jumped back into the driver seat and reversed in the direction of the officer just barely missing him.
The officer fired two shots, units were on the look out for the suspect whose vehicle was later found on willow street.
He was found nearby and arrested and determined to be a parole violator.
