The children of Sacred Heart, a local orphanage, got a surprise after school Monday.
Boys and girls piled into a local salon, and they were each given a free haircut.
(Michelle Lopez\Sazzy Makeoverz manager): "We had donated to them for Christmas a haircut. We're going to receive about 45-47 kids. Since they were busy all December, we decided to do it a little after and today as the day we scheduled it. We are really excited."
The girls even were given mini-manicures.
Barbie Ortiz, 7, chose to get her nails painted blue.
"Because it's my favorite."
Priscilla Nadin, 12, decided to go with a new hair cut, cutting five inches off her hair.
"'Are you excited?' Yes, a little bit nervous."
Additional volunteers were even brought in to help.
Co-owner of the salon, Rosario Leal said she wanted to do it just see happy faces.
"It's always a good feeling to give in order to receive back. So that’s our main focus to give so we can see those happy smiles on their faces. It's always a good feeling to see their happy faces."
Over 40 kids were able to enjoy the salon's services Monday.
The kids ranged in ages from 5 to 15 years old.
