Close to a ton of marijuana was seized by border patrol agents this weekend.
It happened on Friday when agents working out of the I-35 checkpoint were checking out a pick-up truck towing a camper trailer.
It was there that a canine unit alerted agents to the presence of drugs stashed somewhere on board.
Agents discovered a false compartment right under the roof of the camper.
In there, they found 98 bundles holding 1500 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated value of about $1.2 million.
The drugs and camper were turned over to the drug enforcement administration.
