A community outreach program was held Friday to help educate the public on different topics. Judge Rosie Cuellar hosted the program at the municipal court. She says she plans to host the event every month to highlight different issues in our community. Today several topics were discussed including the importance of wearing seat belts, drug and alcohol abuse, and bullying. Those in attendance were also able to hear from a defendant about his experience getting a DWI and how it changed his life. Students were able to earn community service hours by attending Friday’s event.
